Sonnet

I love to watch the evening sun go down

Big red ball of fire miles away from earth

Go down into the evening sunday ground

Goes down into the evening sunday ground

Goes down into the cold dark city dirt

Brings darkness to the world for a few hours

City creepers come out and walk about

Where the moon comes out and overpowers

Parties break out in loud echoing shouts

Kids sleep through the night in their comfy beds

Then the sun rises up out of the dark

People wake up after resting their heads

Adults get up and get ready for work

And when the day is done and there's no more sound

I love to watch the evening sun go down
